The Photographers Swap with Anna and Violet // Landscapes

-
Hi everyone! I'm Violet Short and I blog over at BlythePonytailParades and I will be sharing a few images with you today from a night escapade to our local park. My friend, co-worker and fellow photographer Anna Z and I have joined up to share our unique style of photography on eachother's blogs from time to time and today is our first post! Hope you enjoy!

These are three shots from the night sky overlooking the countryside in New Palestine, Indiana. It was an unnaturally warm night for January which made taking these pictures much more pleasant! Even though the skies were clear and the stars were visible, my camera was having some issues finding the stars in the viewfinder. The results were some out of focus bokeh shots which I ended up liking! Funny how accidents can turn into something you love. I was mostly excited about how the camera picked up the colors in the sky. It's neat to see what we couldn't see with the naked eye!

These shots were all taken with a 30 second shutter speed, aperture at f8 and ISO at 100 with a 35mm 1.8 fixed lens.

If you are interested in checking out more images like these and also a lot of other variety in posting, head on over to my blog! I try to respond to all comments and questions and I love to hear from people! Thanks Anna for posting and I look forward to our next "SWAP". -Violet

Here is my post on Violet's blog, Lake Erie. Check it out! Thanks so much Violet!

These are so pretty! I love the reds and purples. Wow. There is too much light pollution where I live.
